The ‘kid’ you see above is Jason Earles, who plays Jackson Stewart on the hit show Hannah Montana. The show would lead you to believe that Earles is nothing more than your average high school student. I know for a fact they are lying. It clearly states on Earles’ IMDB page that he was born in April of 1977; now I may be no math whiz, but that definitely makes him 30 years old. Far from that goofy high schooler they portray him to be. Just for the record I am not a fan of the show, nor have I ever watched an entire episode, but the Disney Channel has insulted our intelligence for the last time. I propose a nationwide boycott of the Hannah Montana television program. You ruined our lives Jason Earles, if that even is your real name.

In that picture he looks even older than 30. If he had to wear that same Bill Cosby sweater on the show and still act like a high schooler, maybe Disney could finally be shamed into ending this ruse.

Remember Josh Server? He had a long run on All That. IMDB says he’s 28 and last year he was on Drake and Josh. Now I don’t remember his role but I’m sure it wasn’t a hip late 20 year old. This isn’t an old tactic in TV. Look at that asshole kid we saw on Ripley’s.

From his Wikipedia, “His birth year has been the subject of conflicting reports. Earles was 29 years old in January 2007, per USA Today. Earles’ resume gives a birth date of April 26, 1985. A story in the Houston Chronicle in July 2007 stated that he was 19 years old.”
What the hell is wrong with this guy? This is one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen. If you are a well-known TV personality, your age should be something that listed publicly. I HAVE watched an entire episode of this show, and I can tell you that he certainly doesn’t speak or behave like a 30 year old man. I honestly think we might have another case of Andy Milonakis Disease on our hands.

Jason Earles is one of those world legends that no one will even know the truth. Like the Loch Ness Monster or Big Foot, there has been sightings but no one really knows.

he is not an old man most actors are older then we think…just like zac efron he is 20 big deal it doesnt matter how old you are it just matters on how well you can act the role of the play!!!!

Okay, just because Jason is 30 doesn’t mean Hannah Montana should be boycotted!!! Disney puts older actors on their shows beacuse they have more experiance and so they won’t have to hire a tutor since they can’t go to regular school. I really don’t care if he is 30. Nor should other people. Disney isn’t exactly trying to “fool us”, they are just trying to make a better show with good acting. I’m a 12-year-old girl and I’m actually GLAD they have older people, so Disney is more enjoyable. Nickelodian usually has regular-aged actors, and don’t you see the bad acting sometimes? I think this is very ridiculous, and Hannah Montana or any other Disney Channel shows shold be boycotted.

Okay, so Jason Earles is a twenty-something or 30 year-old (accounts vary between 1977 & 1985 as his birth year) actor PLAYING A ROLE – so what? How in the world has that “ruined our lives”? Seriously, get a grip. Actors constantly play roles of other genders, ages, even ethnicities – uh, that’s called acting. What difference does it make and how can you possibly take this so personally?!?!

It’s called sarcasm…maybe you should get a grip.

Get a life why should we ban the show because of his age. Just because you don’t like it. Who cares how old he is. He is perfect for the part and he’s a nice guy. So please give me a break. Get into the real world and start taking care of your world and stop trying to destroy other peoples life.

Seriously, Jason Earles is a great actor, and is the main reason I am a fan of the Hannah Montana show. So wat if he is 30 or watever. He also played a high school student in American Pie Band Camp, should we boycott that movie to?! Seriously, get a life…

No one commenting on this post understands the concept of sarcasm? What happened to America’s sense of humor? I’m disgusted with these comments.

Even if it is just sarcasm, you’re an idiot for forgetting that for sarcasm, it works to be able to HEAR the person. Text can’t put that across. Honestly, don’t freak out just because *gasp* someone can’t get sarcasm by reading a block of text. Oh no!
You should also have enough sense to realize there’s a lot of losers on the internet who would write such things seriously.

You said it, Duzell! Im just so tired of not being able to look up anything about Jason/Hannah Montana without everyone fighting about his age!

Boycott the show because the actor is 30..wow your just all kinds of stupid and obviously have no life.

Text can transmit sarcasm, Duzell. The tone of the last three sentences is clearly humorous. If the written word could only be taken literally, then Swift would have been put in jail for “A Modest Proposal.”
If you plan on commenting to tell Pete that he is being crazy for boycotting the show, don’t. It’s not like he’s making some complex joke here, this isn’t Arrested Development. It is an easy to comprehend, humorous blog post. If it goes over your head and angers you, take off your Mickey Mouse ears breathe into a paper bag. There’s no reason to get mad… it’s a joke. Clearly. I guess the brilliant dialogue you’re used to between Rico and Jackson lacks this kind of subtlety.

It is a little scary i mean you have to admitt
i think that if they fully admitted that he is age and did not display him as a kid (they said this thing on disney channel kids speak out about themselves) outside of the show hannah montana it would actually be okay
he is an actor so it does not really matter his age i just wish they did not make it such a big secret.
He is a great actor but it is creepy that he looks so young but i understand why u used sarcism it is freaky he looks so young

It’s no different than Beverly Hills 90210. Many of the actors wer mucj older than the teenage characters they portrayed. Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman) was 30 when it started. Luke Perry was in his mid 20’s, Ian Ziering was about 27. And so on……
Not at all unusual for “baby-faced” and/or shorter actors to play much younger roles. Who cares? It’s called “acting” for a reason.

I watch Hannah Montana all the time and it doesn’t mean ANYTHING that he’s 30. That just proves that he has a lot of talent to pull off this act.
Hannah Montana is a brilliant and inspirational show for the youth of today (and tomorrow).

Jason Earles is so funny. He’s a great actor. Who cares if he’s 30 something years old. He does a great job at playing a 17 year old boy on Hannah Montana. The show should not be boycotted.

Why do you care about the age of any actor? Is Hollywood not a land of make believe? Relax. You are completely in the wrong for even considering a boycot.

i luuuuv jason earles.
and omg i almost want to barf reading that people would seriously boycott, or hate a show just because the best character in the show is a decade older than the others. and come on, is he really “ruining your life” because wow that sucks if jason earles happens to be ruining your life, if thats so you really need just chillax or find help or something. because wow.

So you’re saying that Hannah Montana, a show that millions of little kids love all over the world, should be taken off of Disney Channel just because Jason Earles plays a younger role in the series? I don’t think that Disney Channel meant to offend anyone by having him play that role. I think he just fit the part very well, and in my opinion he does a good job as Jackson. I think that whoever wrote this is being very dramatic. For someone who hasn’t ever even watched a complete episode, I don’t understand how this actor can ruin any lives…

And plus, on the hit movie Grease with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John, they played as highschool students. These actors were definitly not highschoolers though, most were around the age of thirty. I don’t see how this is any different.

i agree that his age is nothing to boycott the show for.. but my only question is how he looks so young – not that that’s a bad or good thing. a 30 some year old playing a mid teen (15? 16?) is pretty impressive. Just curious if he just looks young or what. I think this issue is irrelevant to whether or not he is a good actor and whether or not a person should watch the show.
