I hate these two men. Words can’t describe the amount of anger I have every time I see the two of these fools on my television. Which is about every three minutes if you ever happen to tune into ESPN. These two guys are taking over the world, and it infuriates me. What right do they have to take over every aspect of my life. None. And I’m tired of sitting around and letting it happen.
In case you don’t know who these men are they are the hosts of the morning sports talk show titled “Mike and Mike” The man on the left is Mike Greenberg who is affectionately known by his adoring fans as “Greeny.” The man on the left is former NFL player Mike Golic, who I’m convinced is only on this show because his name is Mike. This no-talent clown is about as worthless as they come, mix him in with the slightly gay Mike Greenberg and you have the perfect recipe for garbage.
What irks me with these two is that they think that can do anything. They just finished up a season of calling Arena Football games and this past Monday Night they teamed with Mike Ditka (forming a Mike and Mike and Mike booth, I know…it’s genius) to call an NFL game between the 49ers and the Cardinals. Why does ESPN insist on hiring them for every job imaginable? I don’t want to see them ever again but I’m sure if I were to turn on ESPN right now I’d see them juggling bowling pins or something. This odd couple doesn’t work for me. To rub things in ESPN airs a half hour show every day called “The Best of Mike and Mike,” this is ridiculous. I don’t need to watch a half hour of ‘the best’ from my least favorite people from that very morning. These two are getting out of hand. I am boycotting Mike and Mike forever. I advise you to do the same.

I hate how scripted their dialog is. Back and forth back and forth. They have no talent and the fat mike is an absolute hack… Greeny is a whiny douche bag.

Shows how much you know! Greeny was there AFTER Golic, but there is a very good chance Greenberg was picked because his name is Mike. since there’s about 20 Mikes with radio shows or tv shows on ESPN.

I think the show is pretty good, i only get a chance to listen to the podcast, but i think it’s pretty funny. The fact that it’s named Mike&Mike is catchy, who cares if they selected him for his name, he’s doing sports center.

There’s a lot of scripted stuff, yes, and there’s also a lot of repetition, but you have to remember, this is a radio show first and foremost that just happens to be broadcast on tv as well. Now, I’m not sure I could argue the idea of broadcasting on tv as it doesn’t seem to be riveting tv. But as far as radio goes, it’s one of the better I’ve heard on ESPN.
Compare it to something like The Pulse with Doug Gottlieb, and M&M is pretty darn good sports radio.
The fact that you think Greeny sounds gay is intended. They definitely set it up that way to make Golic the food-obsessed, man’s man and Greeny the pseudo-gay, neurotic wimp and drive a lot of the ‘humor’ from Golic making fun of Greeny.
Bottom line is it’s a 4 hour radio show, and I wouldn’t want to try to talk for four hours with no scripting whatsoever. The reason they’re on tv is because there apparently must be a lot more viewers out there whose opinion differs from yours. If it didn’t get enough ratings, they wouldn’t air it.

Mike and Mike SUCKS! I’ve been boycotting this show for a long time now. Other shows that suck (TV and Radio): The Herd with Colin Cowherd, First Take, Sunday NFL Countdown, anything with Doug Gottlieb (the man disgraces my Jewish people every time he opens his mouth!)
Mostly, though, Mike and Mike in the morning and Colin Cowherd get the brunt of my RAGE, because they are so horrible. Frankly, very few people are good at ESPN. Hell, even Rick Reilly is UNBEARABLE to watch now, hes such a hack. Here are the good guys at ESPN: Peter Gammons, Ed Werder, Scott Van Pelt, Michael Wilbon. Thats IT!

At least Greenie is knowledgeable about sports, far and wide. He is well spoken and competent. Golic is just a baffoon with nothing to add, except stuttering through another “and again” & “ya know”

I’m sorry, if you think “GREENIE” is a knowledgeable sportscaster, you apparently know nothing about sports. He seriously sounds like the old man siting in his rocking chair thinking he knows everything and disagrees with most points while interrupting every comment brought up by guests or Golic. Ummmm, I don’t think we are watching the same show here. Too much of the time their busy talking about everything but sports. How they bumped into to this celebrity or that celeb and how they were just so down to earth. Their Letterman appearances, Wrigley field appeance, blah, blah, blah. Colic and his daughters swim meets, Greenburgs wife, and on and on. When they do discuss sports they will talk a subject into the ground repeating over and over the same point being made. Golic: Yeah, um, Tiger couldn’t do it and, um, Phil, in Phil fashion came to play and won. Which is, to say, that his score was lower and his round was better and that he made more putts and played a little better. Tiger tried, he just couldn’t do it, and, in the end, it was Phil Michelson, whose wife has cancer and who can hit the ball and who plays golf pretty well, who, well, won in the end and he put on a green jacket and he played pretty good.

Hey pal, nice article and I couldn’t agree with you more. Their whole one trick pony show is soooo old. Their whole routine is painful to watch. The gay boy always name dropping, continuely talking about his wife, as if anyone could give a rats a$$. The other half is the epitome of a dumb jock, and a mediocre jock at best. I hate these two douchebags beyond reason. How anyone can watch or listen to these guys more than 2 minutes have more tolerance than I ever will in my life. I’d rather sit through Catholic mass for an hour than listen to these two idiots. Unfortunately ESPN feels the need to cram them down out throats in every way they can find. We can’t get away from them. And for fuck sake can these two clowns talk about ANYTHING besides the NFL? And how the hell did a dumb fuck like Mike Golic make it to Notre Dame?
